The Hits and Crits Bushido line does that on purpose - built with the Bushido community around themes specific to the setting, with deployment zones and objectives worked into the artwork itself rather than left for players to mark separately. It's a mat designed around this one game, not a general-purpose board reused across systems.

Frequently asked questions

<details>

Is this an official Bushido product?

No - the Hits and Crits Bushido mat is compatible with Bushido, but it is not an official GCT Studios product and isn't licensed by them.

</details>
<details>

Are other designs available?

Yes - this product is the Jade Reed Thicket design; the other Japanese-garden designs in the range are available via the design selector on the product page.

</details>
<details>

What is the mat made of?

Natural rubber, 2 mm thick, with a single-sided polyester print and an anti-slip underside, finished with laser-cut edges.

</details>

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1046/6505/5562/files/HC017-Rubber-mat-compatible-with-hits-and-crits-bushido_Summer-61x61-top-view_c271f65b-07d4-482e-8f79-5e2c9b1b679a.jpg?v=1793365315
