2D Modular rivers set - Lava - compatible with Warhammer 40k & Age of Sigmar
Compatible with
A fight at the mouth of a volcano loses all its drama on a flat, empty table. This modular Lava Rivers set drops seven connecting segments of cracked ground and flowing magma straight onto your battle mat, and it's compatible with Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Star Wars: Legion, and Warmachine & Hordes.
Key features of the Lava Rivers set
- Seven connecting river segments - each piece measures 12" (30cm) long by about 2.5" (10cm) wide at the connection point, so you can build a lava river as short or as sprawling as the mission needs.
- 2mm natural rubber with a polyester print top and laser-cut edges - rolls flat for the drive to the club or a tournament, where rigid resin or MDF lava terrain risks chipping a corner in the boot of the car.
- Anti-slip rubber backing - stays put on the mat once placed, so a stray elbow or a model bumping the table doesn't shift your carefully planned kill zone mid-turn.
- Works across different games - compatible with Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Star Wars: Legion, and Warmachine & Hordes (unofficial, not licensed by any publisher).
Setting the scene for a volcanic battle
Hazardous-terrain missions - across Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Star Wars: Legion, or Warmachine & Hordes, a lava river reads instantly as dangerous or impassable ground, so squads have to commit to a route around it instead of marching straight through the middle of the table.
One set, more than one battlefield - the seven segments connect end to end, so the next mission can put a short lava vein on the flank or a long river down the centre without buying more terrain.
Packs away with the mat - the thin rubber segments roll or fold flat alongside your battle mat, so a volcanic terrain set doesn't need its own box the way rigid scenery does.
What makes the Lava Rivers set different
Most lava terrain on the market is rigid resin, MDF, or 3D-printed scenery built to sit on a shelf between games rather than travel in a bag. This set's seven connecting segments also work across separate game systems, so the same set covers an Age of Sigmar table one week and a Star Wars: Legion table the next instead of sitting unused between games of a single system.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an official product for any of these games?
No - the Lava Rivers set is compatible with Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Star Wars: Legion, and Warmachine & Hordes in scale and use, but it isn't licensed or produced by any of their publishers.
How many pieces are in the set and what size are they?
Seven river segments, each 12" (30cm) long and about 2.5" (10cm) wide at the connection point.
How do I store the set between games?
Roll or fold the thin rubber segments flat alongside your battle mat - unlike rigid resin or MDF lava terrain, there's no separate box needed to keep the pieces from chipping.
FAQ
How long does it take to make and send my order?
Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.
How long does delivery take?
Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.
Is the size exactly as listed?
Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.
Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.
What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?
File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
