Cascadia is a quiet game that gets physically loud: by the midgame the table is a sprawl of hexagonal habitat tiles, wildlife tokens, and the bag everyone keeps reaching into. A bare table lets that sprawl drift with every reach; a rubber mat gives it a surface built to hold still.
Built to protect and organize
The mat sits under the whole tile-laying area, grips the table so the growing landscape does not creep, and protects both the table and the components from scuffing over a long session. Cards, tiles and tokens lift cleanly off the soft printed surface instead of catching on a bare tabletop.

Why rubber
2 mm natural rubber with a polyester top, a single-sided print and laser-cut edges, the same build as every mat in our board game line. It folds or rolls flat for storage in the game box between sessions.
The game itself
Cascadia asks players to draft a habitat tile and a wildlife token each turn, building a landscape where animals score points for sitting in the right terrain, near the right neighbours, in the right shapes. There is no fixed central board; the whole table is the board, and it only grows. That design choice is exactly why a steady surface underneath pays off more here than in games with a printed board to anchor everything.
Who it is for
Groups that play Cascadia often and want the table to stop drifting mid-draft. Players who keep the box pristine and want the mat, not the tiles, to take the wear. Anyone upgrading a favourite quiet game with one small, cheap accessory rather than a whole new copy.
Imagine turn twelve: a forest spreading into a wetland, a dozen wildlife tokens scattered across the habitat, and every piece exactly where a hand left it.
Our mat is compatible with Cascadia but is not an official product: it is not made, licensed or endorsed by AEG or Flatout Games. Choose your variant.
