Grimdark Card Mats

Grimdark is a mood before it is a genre: war without winners, futures without promises, and artwork that admits it. These mats bring that mood to the card table with our own designs, so the darkness comes with no licence attached and no universe named.

Five shades of grim

• Skullsplitter: a blunt, battle-scarred axe motif for decks that solve problems directly.
• Harbinger of Death: the omen design, for win conditions that arrive like bad news.

Universal on purpose
Each mat is 24"x14" / 61x35.5 cm, the standard playmat footprint with room for deck, discard and battlefield rows. The artwork names no game and borrows from no franchise, so the same mat serves a grim TCG deck, a dark deckbuilder or any table that likes its fantasy heavy and its sci-fi hopeless.

The build
2 mm natural rubber with a soft polyester top, a single-sided print and laser-cut edges. The base grips the table, sleeved cards slide and lift cleanly, and the mat folds or rolls into the deck bag. A damp cloth wipes the grime off the grimdark, which is more than the setting ever gets.

Imagine the match: your opponent unrolls a cheerful licensed mat, you unroll a burning planet, and the flavour war is over before the die roll. The grim table is a statement of intent, and intent wins the mental game long before the cards decide the real one.

Our grimdark mats are universal designs for any card game and are not products of any game publisher. Pick your doom.
