Lava Battle Mats

Remember playing "the floor is lava" as a kid? On these mats it is the whole point. A volcanic battlefield is the one setting where the ground itself is the enemy, and every move across it looks like a gamble.

Two volcanic worlds
The collection covers two very different moods:

• Lava Fields - the eruption is still going. Scorched earth, cracked rock and glowing magma streams run across the whole table in hot oranges and reds.
• Volcanic World - the eruption is over, the danger is not. Hardened lava fields and dark volcanic rock with fiery accents, a darker and more brooding battlefield.

Imagine your general holding the last patch of solid rock while magma glows on every side - the mat does the storytelling before the first dice roll.

Sizes for skirmishes and apocalypse games

• 30"x22" / 76x56 cm (Lava Fields, Volcanic World) - for Age of Sigmar Spearhead and Warcry.
• 36"x36" / 91.5x91.5 cm (Lava Fields) - for Star Wars: Legion skirmish games or a smaller Trench Crusade table.
• 44"x60" / 112x152 cm (Lava Fields, Volcanic World) - for Warhammer 40K Strike Force and Age of Sigmar matched play.
• 72"x36" / 183x91.5 cm (Lava Fields) - the standard Star Wars: Legion battlefield.
• 44"x90" / 112x228 cm (Lava Fields) - for Warhammer 40K Onslaught games.

Make the lava count
Want the magma to matter in your rules as well as your scenery? Add our 2D lava terrain on top of the mat: Lava Lakes (three pools of molten rock) or the 2D Modular Rivers Set - Lava, which you lay out as a lava river in any shape. Both are rubber and lie flat on the mat, so miniatures stand on them without wobbling.

Rubber built for long campaigns
The mats are rubber with a polyester fabric top and a sublimation print. The base grips the table, the soft surface protects painted miniatures and the laser-cut edges stay neat after months of play. The glowing magma is printed in high detail, so it stays bright game after game. Most sizes are available single-sided or double-sided - see each product page.

Our mats are compatible with the games named above, but they are not official products of their publishers. Not sure which volcano fits your army? Browse the lava battle mats and pick your eruption.
