Slipmats

A slipmat does a quiet job well: it lets the record spin freely under your hand for a scratch or a beat-match, cushions the vinyl against the platter, and damps the vibration that would otherwise bleed into the sound. Most slipmats do that job in plain black. These do it with a design worth looking at every time the tonearm lifts.

Six designs

• Nebula: a blue cosmic swirl, mesmerizing under the right light.
• Kitty: a lighter, playful mood for a casual listening session.
• Guitar and Guitarist: two takes on the instrument at the centre of most of the records that will sit on this mat.
• Hand Axe: a bolder, graphic design for a harder-edged shelf.
• Great Wave of Kanagawa: the famous woodblock print, reinterpreted for the turntable.

Function first
Made from durable rubberized material, 2 mm thick, every slipmat prevents vibrations and protects your vinyl from scratches while the record spins. The 30.5 cm / 12" size fits standard turntables and LP records.

A setup piece, not just a spare part
Most record players leave the stock mat on for years without a second thought, which is exactly why swapping it is such a cheap, visible upgrade. The turntable sits in view more often than most audio gear, usually on a shelf or a cabinet where people actually look at it, so a design that holds attention earns its place the same way a good cover frame does.

Imagine the record night: the needle drops, the Nebula mat glows faintly under the cabinet light, and the sound comes through clean because the platter underneath is doing its job quietly.
