Mats Compatible with Bolt Action

A Bolt Action game is only as convincing as the ground it is fought on. Shermans look wrong on a jungle mat, and a Pacific island assault looks wrong in the snow. This collection is organised by theatre of war, so the table matches the campaign your platoons are fighting.

The right size

• 72"x48" / 183x122 cm (6'x4'): the standard Bolt Action table, around 1000-1250 points. Every design below comes in this size.
• 48"x48" / 122x122 cm (4'x4'): for smaller games under 1000 points.
• 36"x36" / 91.5x91.5 cm (3'x3'): for small Firefight!-style games.

Many designs are also made in the two smaller formats - check the size filter.

Europe
Fields of War with overgrown fields and worn paths, Grassland and Universal Grass for open countryside, Crossroads for cobbled roads between the fields and Undergrowth for woodland fighting.

North Africa
Sandy Desert's dunes, Rocky Desert's cracked earth, Red Desert's rust-red ground and the sun-baked walls of Desert Ruin.

Winter fronts
Ice with frozen rock, Tundra with snow-covered plains and wind-scoured earth, and Early Spring for the muddy thaw.

The Pacific
Jungle for island assaults and close-range firefights in dense vegetation.

Towns under fire
Ruined City and Ruined Streets for bombed-out streets, Aftermatch Plaza for a square right after the shelling, Keep Yard and Paved Plaza for old European cobbles.

Imagine a Panzer platoon rolling across Rocky Desert while British infantry hold the ridge - then the same armies meeting in the rubble of Ruined Streets next weekend.

Built for long campaigns
Every mat is rubber with a polyester fabric top and a sublimation print. The base grips the table so tanks and terrain stay put, the soft surface protects painted miniatures and the laser-cut edges do not fray. Many designs come single-sided or double-sided.
