Board Game Mats

A board game spends hours on the table. Cards get dealt, tokens get pushed, someone leans on the board. A mat under it does three jobs: it stops components sliding, it protects the cards and the table, and it makes the game look like the artwork on the box. We have been making them for years, and they are built like our battle mats.

What the mats are made of
2 mm natural rubber with a polyester fabric top, a sublimation print and laser-cut edges. The rubber backing grips the table, the fabric is soft enough to be gentle on cards and firm enough to lift thin tokens from without fingernails, and the whole mat rolls or folds to fit in the game box. Two millimetres is enough cushion for a long session without turning the table into a trampoline.
