Whatever went wrong here soaked into the ground: patches of slate-grey rock have crazed into a fine net of cracks, poison-green light shows along every line, and a thick green ooze has gathered between the stones of the nearest rubble heap. Green Blight battlefield prints that ground on a 61 x 61 cm rubber square, sized for the tight two-foot battlefields of Forbidden Psalm, the skirmish game compatible with Mörk Borg. A double-sided copy carries green grass on its other face.

Key features of the Green Blight battlefield 24" x 24" mat

  • Crazed rock, green light - in several patches the slate-grey ground has split into a fine net of small cracks, and bright green light runs along each one, as if something under the surface is still burning.
  • Ooze among the stones - where the blight reaches a heap of rubble, a thick green ooze pools between the stones and spills over their edges.
  • Rubble and old timber - between the blighted patches lies plain dark rock with low mounds of broken stone and a few grey, weathered beams - enough to set the scene while your own terrain does the blocking.
  • Built on natural rubber - the print lives in a polyester top layer laid on a natural rubber base 2 mm thick, its edges cut by laser; beneath, a single-sided mat shows grippy bare rubber and a double-sided one the grass print, and both pack away rolled or folded.

Where the Green Blight battlefield 24" x 24" mat fits

When magic goes bad - a Forbidden Psalm spellcaster starts with two random scrolls, and magic is powerful but dangerous: a failed spell can turn on the caster, and the rules carry a calamity table for when it all goes wrong - ground like this looks like the morning after.

Monsters that turn up mid-fight - monsters enter the field as the rounds go on - zombies, ghouls, goblins and vampires, the Great Maw and the Corpse Collector - and In the Footsteps of the Mad Wizard even adds an acid slime, which could hardly ask for a better home than this ooze.

Hired hands from the Necropolis - They Came From the Necropolis lets a warband swap members before a scenario for mercenaries hired for one-off jobs - Pigmen among them - and adds a new monster, the Horse Head Knight; the 20-page zine is a collaboration between Andrew May of Black Crab Miniatures and Kevin RD.

Odd terrain, written up - The Collection of Death, Volume 1 gathers earlier zines and freebies with new horrors: over 20 scenarios and expanded rules for dungeon delving, wilderness exploration, odd terrain and weather, made with Westfalia Publishing, Geektopia Games, Deadchurch Miniatures and the Forbidden Psalm community.

Mörk Borg's dying world - Forbidden Psalm shares its world with Mörk Borg: a world dying from the basilisk cathedral of Galgenbeck to the death fields of Graven-Tosk, with seven prophecies left to fulfil before it ends and the Calendar of Nechrubel setting the pace of the downfall.

What makes the Green Blight battlefield 24" x 24" mat different

Lava Fields splits black rock over orange heat, DeathWorld Tomb runs green light along straight channels carved into dark slabs, and No Mans Land is mud and broken boards. In Green Blight battlefield the green comes up through the ground itself: ragged patches of crazed rock lit from below, ooze seeping round the rubble and plain grey stone in between, so the cover you place decides where the warbands clash. Of all the Green Blight battlefield sizes this one takes the least table; the largest stretches to 72" x 48".

Frequently asked questions

Are there rules for the green patches?

No - the print carries no rules. If your group wants the blight to bite, agree a house rule before the first round, or borrow one from the odd-terrain rules in The Collection of Death.

Will a warband of five and the monsters fit?

Yes - Forbidden Psalm sets its scenarios on two-foot-square battlefields with warbands of five figures, and this mat is exactly that size. If you want more space, there is Green Blight battlefield 36" x 36", a three-foot square.

Does the blight continue on the other face?

No - the other face of a double-sided copy is green grass with a few sandy bare patches, healthy ground to set against the blight; a single-sided copy has only its non-slip rubber base on that side.

FAQ

How long does it take to make and send my order?

Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.

How long does delivery take?

Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.

Will the product look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.

Is the size exactly as listed?

Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.

Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?

Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.

What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?

File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.

Can I cancel my order before it arrives?

Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
