Mats Compatible with Heroes of Might & Magic III

Heroes of Might & Magic III: The Board Game resolves its core-box fights with unit cards, but the Battlefield expansion moves the same armies onto a hex grid and lets miniatures fight it out faction by faction. The Heroes series gives that expansion five battlefields, each one 22"x16.5" / 57x42 cm with the same 15 x 11 hex grid and deployment zones as the expansion’s own combat board.

One grid, five home grounds
Cave takes the fight underground for the Dungeon faction, with packed earth and a cavern of stalactites on the horizon. Swamp sets the Fortress faction’s native bog under the hexes, dark water and reeds with swamp trees in mist. Lava gives the Inferno faction its burning ground, cracked black rock and glowing seams under a red sky. Desert is neutral terrain that suits any pairing, rippled sand with dunes and a fortress on the horizon. Winter Forest covers the grid in snow, with a frozen tree line and mountains behind it.

Drop-in deployment
Every mat keeps the expansion’s own layout: the two hexes nearest each short edge are tinted darker as deployment zones, so obstacle tokens and faction miniatures land exactly where the Battlefield rules expect them, whatever design is under the grid.

Why rubber
2 mm natural rubber with a polyester print top and laser-cut edges. The back grips the table, so hexes, obstacles and miniatures stay in place through a full combat round, and the mat rolls or folds away between games.

Imagine the Inferno army massing on Lava’s cracked rock, or a Fortress raiding party wading out of Swamp’s reeds - the same core-box fight, now with the faction’s own ground under it.
