RPG Mat 80x80 cm - Snow with hexagonal grid - compatible with Dungeons & Dragons
Compatible with
The party's tracking something across open snow, and every hex they cross should mean something - visibility, cold, exposed ground. The Snow Hex mat prints a snowbound landscape under a hex grid, so a winter trek is ready before anyone reaches for a pencil.
Key features of the Snow Hex mat
- Hex grid, not square - built for hex-based movement, so overland travel and hexcrawl exploration track directly on the print instead of a blank hex sheet.
- Snow terrain printed underneath - a winter landscape backdrop under the grid, ready for cold-weather scenes without drawing the setting from scratch.
- Dry-erase surface - PVC with a dry-erase coating, so you mark tracks, camps, and encounters, then wipe it clean for the next leg of the journey.
- 80x80 cm play area - room for a full stretch of overland travel or a multi-part encounter in one sitting.
- Marker and cloth included - ready to draw the first encounter straight out of the packaging.
Where it fits in your sessions
Overland and hexcrawl travel - for D&D, Pathfinder, or any system that tracks movement in hexes, the grid is already in place under a snow-covered setting, and the 80x80 cm size covers a full leg of a journey without running off the edge.
Cold-weather encounters - when a fight breaks out mid-trek, you mark drifts, cover, or enemy positions directly on the snow print instead of describing the terrain from memory.
Recurring winter campaigns - wipe the mat clean after each leg, so one mat covers a whole winter arc instead of a single encounter.
What makes the Snow Hex mat different
Most hex-grid mats are left plain so you draw the setting yourself, leaving winter scenes looking the same as any other terrain until someone sketches it in. The Snow Hex mat starts from a snow-covered backdrop instead, so groups running hex-based travel through cold terrain get a themed surface from the first hex they cross.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this mat for square-grid games too?
The grid printed on this mat is hexagonal, built for systems that track movement in hexes. If your game uses a square grid, a square-format dry-erase mat will match your rules more directly.
What's included with the mat?
The mat ships with a dry-erase marker and a cloth, so you can start drawing on it right away.
Can I fold the mat for storage?
No - dry-erase mats shouldn't be folded, since this can damage the dry-erase coating. Store it rolled instead.
How does the 80x80 cm size compare to the 50x50 cm version?
It covers more than three times the play area, so it fits a longer stretch of overland travel or a multi-part encounter instead of a single scene, at the cost of more table space.
FAQ
How long does it take to make and send my order?
Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.
How long does delivery take?
Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.
Is the size exactly as listed?
Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.
Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.
What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?
File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
