RPG Mat 80x80 cm - Papyrus with hexagonal grid - compatible with Dungeons & Dragons

Regular price 0,00 zł

The players are hunched over an old map, arguing about which pass leads to the ruins - give them a surface that already looks like the map they're imagining. The Papyrus Hex mat prints a parchment backdrop under a hex grid, so the game master's table looks the part before a single line gets drawn.

Key features of the Papyrus Hex mat

  • Hex grid, not square - built for hex-based movement, so overland travel and hexcrawl exploration track directly on the print instead of a blank hex sheet.
  • Papyrus texture printed underneath - a parchment-toned backdrop that reads like an old map, instead of a plain white or gray grid.
  • 0.7 mm thick PVC, dry-erase surface - draw routes, camps, and encounters, then wipe it clean for the next session.
  • 80x80 cm play area - room for a full overland map or a multi-room dungeon crawl in one sitting, not just a single encounter.
  • Marker and cloth included - ready to draw the first encounter straight out of the packaging.

Where it fits in your sessions

Overland and hexcrawl travel - for D&D, Pathfinder, or any system that tracks movement in hexes, the grid is already in place under a parchment setting, and the larger 80x80 cm size covers a full leg of a journey without running off the edge.

Exploration-focused campaigns - the papyrus look fits a game master narrating discovery and old maps, so the surface matches the story instead of looking like graph paper.

Group sessions with more players - the bigger play area leaves room on the table for character sheets, dice, and miniatures for a full group without everyone crowding a small map.

What makes the Papyrus Hex mat different

Most papyrus-themed dry-erase mats use a square grid built for room-by-room combat, and most hex-grid mats are left plain so you draw the setting yourself. The Papyrus Hex mat pairs the two - a parchment-toned print with a hex grid underneath - so game masters running hex-based exploration get a themed surface instead of a blank hex sheet, and the 80x80 cm size gives that exploration room to actually unfold.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the square-grid Papyrus mat?

No - this version uses a hexagonal grid, built for systems that track movement in hexes. If your game uses a square grid instead, the square-format Papyrus mat matches that ruleset more directly.

What's included with the mat?

The mat ships with a dry-erase marker and a cloth, so you can start drawing on it right away.

Can I fold the mat for storage?

No - dry-erase mats shouldn't be folded, since this can damage the dry-erase coating. Store it rolled instead.

How does the 80x80 cm size compare to the 50x50 cm version?

It covers more than three times the play area, so it fits a full overland map or a multi-room dungeon crawl instead of a single encounter, at the cost of more table space.

FAQ

How long does it take to make and send my order?

Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.

How long does delivery take?

Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.

Will the product look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.

Is the size exactly as listed?

Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.

Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?

Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.

What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?

File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.

Can I cancel my order before it arrives?

Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
