2D Rivers and Roads

Rigid river and road terrain looks good until it meets the boot of a car. A chipped corner, a bent road, a box that does not close. These sets are the same idea in 2 mm rubber: segments that link into any shape, lie flat on the mat, and roll up with it when the game is over.

Rivers
Seven connecting segments per set, each 30 cm / 12" long and about 10 cm / 2.5" wide at the join, so a river can cut across a corner or run the full length of a 6'x4' table. Four waters:

• Spring: clear flowing water with green banks.
• Winter: a frozen river for snow tables.
• Lava: cracked ground and flowing magma.
• Toxic: glowing sludge for wastelands and industrial zones.

Roads
Seventeen pieces per set: one four-way crossroads, two T-junctions, four 45-degree turns, two 90-degree turns, four short straights and four long straights, enough for a full road network across a 6'x4' table. Choose the scale, then the surface:

• 15 mm scale, 7.6 cm / 3" wide, for Flames of War, Team Yankee and other 15 mm games.
• 28 mm scale, 16.2 cm / 6.3" wide, so a full unit can move down the road without crowding the edges.
• Surfaces: Paved cobbles for a town, Muddy and Winter muddy for the countryside and the front, Asphalt and Old asphalt for modern and post-apocalyptic tables.
  Imagine a 28 mm table in Normandy: a muddy road running from the crossroads to the bridge, a spring river under it, and the whole network back in the mat bag in two minutes.

Why rubber

• 2 mm natural rubber with a polyester print top and laser-cut edges: no chipping, no warping.
• The rubber backing grips the mat, so a bumped table does not move the river mid-turn.
• Flat and light: a river and a road network weigh less than one resin piece.
