Most battle mat sizes are measured in armies. This one is measured in duels. The 24"x24" / 61x61 cm square is the standard table for compact skirmish gaming: a format where six models a side is a crowd, terrain placement is half the strategy, and the game fits on a kitchen table with room left for coffee.

What lives in this size
Our 2'x2' range is the Hits & Crits Bushido line: four Japanese-garden battlefields named Fallen Leaves, Jade Reed Thicket, Bear Peaks and Muddy Crossing, each with deployment areas and objective markings integrated into the artwork. The mats are compatible with Bushido, the honour-driven skirmish game that plays on exactly this square, and they are not official GCT Studios products.

Beyond one game
A 61x61 cm garden also serves any small-format fight that wants an atmospheric square: a house scenario, a duel mission carved out of a bigger system, a demo table at the club. The printed markings read as neutral zones wherever the rules allow, and the artwork does the scene-setting a bare table cannot.

Why rubber
2 mm natural rubber with a polyester print top and laser-cut edges. The base grips the table, the soft surface protects painted miniatures when they fall, and the mat rolls into a backpack: at this size it is the most portable battlefield we make.

Imagine the evening: the mat unrolls in a cafe, two warbands deploy on printed lines, and a complete war begins and ends before the second round of drinks. That is the whole promise of the format: full wargaming drama, minus the dedicated hobby room, the folding table and the hour of setup that bigger formats quietly demand.
