2D Sci-Fi Terrains

Three-dimensional sci-fi terrain looks great and weighs a tonne. Flat rubber terrain does the same job on the table - marks difficult ground, blocks nothing you did not intend, sets the scene - and the whole set weighs about as much as a paperback. This collection gathers our sci-fi pieces: the craters, fires and toxic pools a far-future battlefield collects.

What is in the collection

  • Fallen City Craters: craters printed to match our Fallen City battle mat, so a shelled industrial city gets the holes to go with the rubble.
  • Crater: a set of impact craters in three sizes, from roughly 17x13 cm to 17.5x17.5 cm, for any ruined or wasteland table.
  • Explosions: burning impacts and blast marks in three sizes, around 13-17 cm across, for marking destroyed vehicles, fresh strikes and objectives gone wrong.
  • Toxic Pond: glowing chemical pools in three sizes, the same footprints as the Crater set.
  • Toxic modular rivers: seven 2 mm rubber pieces, each 30 cm long and about 10 cm wide, that link into a winding toxic stream across the table.
Imagine a Kill Team table on our Necromunda mat: a toxic river cutting the board in two, a crater at each objective, an explosion where the first Sentinel died. Five minutes of setup and the table tells a story.

Which games
The pieces are sized for 28-32 mm miniatures and suit any sci-fi system: Warhammer 40,000 and Kill Team, The Horus Heresy, Necromunda, Infinity and StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game among them. They also work as area terrain and hazard markers in your own scenarios.

Why rubber terrain

  • The same 2 mm rubber as our battle mats, with a single-sided print that looks right from across the table.
  • Laser-cut irregular shapes: no two craters alike, smooth edges that do not catch on miniatures.
  • The rubber backing grips the mat, so a crater on the left flank stays on the left flank.
  • Flat and light: every set fits in the bag next to your rolled mat.

Our terrain is compatible with the games named above but is not an official product of their publishers. Browse the sci-fi terrain and scar your battlefield.
