Battle Mats by Game System

Skip the guesswork. A battle mat that is the wrong size changes deployment, objective spacing and how far your units can go, and a setting that does not suit the game breaks the mood. Each collection below is built around one game system: the table size it uses and the designs whose setting fits it.

Quick size guide

  • Warhammer 40,000: 44"x30" for Combat Patrol and Incursion, 44"x60" for Strike Force, 44"x90" for Onslaught.
  • Kill Team and Warcry: 22"x30" killzones and warband tables.
  • Age of Sigmar: 44"x60" matched play and 22"x30" Spearhead.
  • The Old World: from 44"x30" for small games up to 72"x48" for a standard battle.
  • The Horus Heresy: 72"x48" for standard games.
  • Blood Bowl: a 90x70 cm pitch.
  • Bolt Action: 72"x48" (6'x4') standard, 48"x48" for smaller games.
  • Flames of War: 72"x48" (6'x4').
  • Star Wars: Legion: 72"x36" standard, 36"x36" skirmish.
  • Star Wars: Shatterpoint and Marvel: Crisis Protocol: 36"x36" (3'x3').
  • Trench Crusade: 48"x48" standard, 36"x36" for a smaller table.
  • Frostgrave: 36"x36", 48"x48" for multiplayer.

Warmachine and Bushido have their own collections too - check each page for the formats on offer.

Not just the size
Each game page lists only designs whose setting suits that game. Kill Team gets ruins, underhives and industrial killzones; Age of Sigmar gets grassland, forests, lava and medieval keeps; Star Wars: Legion gets deserts, ice and wasteland. Picture opening your Shatterpoint mat and finding the marked fields already printed in, or rolling out a 6'x4' Fields of War for a Bolt Action weekend - that is what matching mat to game means.

Every mat is made from rubber with a polyester fabric top, a sublimation print and laser-cut edges. The base grips the table, the soft surface protects painted miniatures, and most designs come single-sided or double-sided.

Our mats are compatible with these games but are not official products of Games Workshop, Warlord Games, Atomic Mass Games or other publishers. Can't find your game? Contact us or design your own custom mat. Choose your game system below.
