Universal Space Mats

A space finish does something specific for a game night: it makes the table disappear. Components float on a dark field instead of sitting on furniture, and every sci-fi game instantly looks like its own box art. These two finishes bring that effect to the universal 120x80 cm format.

Two skies

• Blue Nebula: the classic deep-space look, blues and violets with starfields, dark enough to make bright components glow by contrast. The natural home for space exploration and sci-fi board games, and a dramatic stage for anything else.
• Turquose Clouds: cosmic swirls in lighter turquoise tones. The abstract calm of the pair, for tables that want atmosphere while keeping the board easy on the eyes through a long session.

Universal on purpose
Both finishes are abstract: no grids, no franchise iconography, no layout. That is what keeps them universal: tonight’s space epic, tomorrow’s card game and the weekend’s family box all sit on the same sky without a mismatch.

The build
47"x31.5" / 120x80 cm of 2 mm natural rubber with a soft polyester top, a single-sided sublimation print and laser-cut edges. The base grips the table so boards stop creeping, cards slide and lift cleanly on the fabric surface, dice land quietly, and the mat rolls or folds away after the session. A damp cloth keeps the nebula clean, whatever the snacks attempted during the campaign.

Imagine the evening: lights low, a space game mid-campaign, and the board apparently hovering in orbit because the table beneath it has gone completely dark. The same mat hosts a farming game the next morning without a hint of irony, because an abstract sky argues with nothing.

Both finishes are our own designs, tied to no game or publisher. Pick your corner of the cosmos.
