Compatible with
Last turn, the score token one step from the middle of the battle ladder, and you're counting hexes for the move that decides the game: the grid is the one thing you don't want to squint at. Skullroad Temple keeps it sharp: a Hits and Crits rubber mat compatible with Godtear, 31" x 22" (79 x 56.4 cm), with bold dark hex lines over cracked teal stone and the score track built into the left edge.
Key features of the Skullroad Temple mat
- Bold dark hex lines - every hex is outlined in a heavy dark line, so movement and range are quick to count even at the far end of the table.
- Cracked teal stone with glowing seams - dark teal paving split by lighter cracks, with a faint glow running through the seams across the battlefield.
- A pillared temple in one corner - a square stone platform with a pillar at each corner and a carved circular glyph in its floor, the main landmark on an open field of stone.
- The battle ladder printed in - down the left edge, blue towards the top end and yellow towards the bottom, so scoring happens on the same rubber as the fighting.
- 2 mm natural rubber with an anti-slip back - single-sided polyester print and a laser-cut edge on a rubber base that keeps the mat in place, then rolls or folds after the game.

Where the Skullroad Temple mat fits
Close games and tight endings - when the ladder is nearly level and a single hex decides whether a banner can be claimed, heavy outlines make every distance quick to check for both players.
Teaching the game - in Godtear the hexes measure both movement and range, and a grid this clear lets a new player see both without leaning over the table.
A darker table at home - the starter sets come with a double-sided cardboard board; Skullroad Temple trades it for a stone-dark battlefield on rubber that grips the table and rolls away after the game.
What makes the Skullroad Temple mat different
Skullroad Temple and The Glades Temple are the two Hits and Crits Godtear designs with bold dark outlines, and Skullroad Temple is the darker of the pair: cracked teal stone where The Glades Temple is green moss. Steamforged's own Godtear mat, a neoprene add-on from the 2018 Kickstarter, sold out long ago; Skullroad Temple moves the hex battlefield and the battle ladder from the starter set's cardboard board onto 2 mm natural rubber.
Frequently asked questions
Is Skullroad Temple an official Godtear product?
No - Skullroad Temple is a Hits and Crits design by Playmats.eu, made to be compatible with Godtear; it isn't produced or licensed by Steamforged Games.
Which Hits and Crits Godtear design has the clearest hex lines?
Skullroad Temple and The Glades Temple, both with bold dark outlines. Broken Plains uses light outlines and Forest of Whispers fine ones, on the same layout.
Do I still need my Godtear set to play?
Yes - the mat replaces the battlefield and the battle ladder, while objective hexes, banners, cards and tokens still come from your Godtear sets.
How do I store the mat?
Roll it or fold it between games. The 2 mm natural rubber with a polyester top handles both, and the laser-cut edge doesn't fray.
FAQ
How long does it take to make and send my order?
Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.
How long does delivery take?
Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.
Is the size exactly as listed?
Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.
Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.
What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?
File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
