Two lines of trenches, and between them a strip nobody owns: churned brown mud, duckboards blown to splinters, planks lying wherever the last shell left them. No Mans Land lays that ground over 61 by 61 cm of rubber - two feet a side, which is all the table a Forbidden Psalm fight needs. Flip a double-sided copy for a field of green grass.

Key features of the No Mans Land 24" x 24" mat

  • Mud and broken boards - dark brown mud covers the whole mat, packed with planks at every angle - some still lying in rows like smashed duckboards, others split into splinters - with grit and small stones in between.
  • Nothing dug into the print - there are no trenches, wire, craters or roads, so the same ground runs to every edge; dugouts, sandbag walls and wire come from your own scenery, placed where the scenario wants them.
  • A Forbidden Psalm-sized square - Forbidden Psalm sets its fights on a two-foot square, and that is the size of this mat - 61 cm on every side.
  • Rubber under the mud - underneath the polyester print is a 2 mm layer of natural rubber, trimmed to shape by laser; single-sided mats keep a grippy rubber back against the table, double-sided ones carry the grass there, and either goes into a bag rolled or folded for the walk home.

Where the No Mans Land 24" x 24" mat fits

The Last War, standalone and muddy - The Last War is a standalone game built on the Forbidden Psalm rules and inspired by historic wars: each player runs a crew of five miniatures through mud-clogged trenches against monsters the game controls, with rules for tank warfare - haunted tanks included - and for mud, plus 20 new spells and 16 new monsters in 118 pages.

Trench 71 - issue 10 of Forbidden Psalm Monthly is a five-scenario mini-campaign for The Last War and Forbidden Psalm, set where the fog over no man's land has just lifted.

Five warriors, four stats - every warrior gets Agility, Presence, Strength and Toughness, hit points based on Toughness, and a random flaw and feat - a Loner takes -1 on tests within 2" of an ally, while a Rat Catcher starts with a free bag of rats.

Snipers, loup-garou and mutations - special troopers in The Last War include snipers and loup-garou, new rules add mutations, and Wargames Atlantic has produced a set of First World War miniatures for the game, with a conversion frame of trench maggots.

What makes the No Mans Land 24" x 24" mat different

Muddy Ground is churned earth with puddles and moss, Swamp a bog of standing water and stumps, and Wasteland a cracked road through dry ground. No Mans Land is the ground between two front lines once the timber has been shot to pieces - dark mud and broken boards from edge to edge, with no trench or road printed in - so it fits the battlefields of The Last War and any other Forbidden Psalm scenario where you build the cover yourself. This is the smallest No Mans Land mat, and the biggest one covers 72" x 48".

Frequently asked questions

What has Mörk Borg got to do with it?

Forbidden Psalm is its own miniatures game - inspired by Mörk Borg, playable alongside it and published under the Mörk Borg Third Party License; both share the same dying world.

Is there a bigger No Mans Land?

Yes - No Mans Land 36" x 36" spreads the same mud over 3' x 3' for groups that want more room than the standard Forbidden Psalm table.

Which side is green?

Only double-sided copies have a green face: their second side is grass with patches of sand here and there. Single-sided mats finish in grippy rubber instead.

FAQ

How long does it take to make and send my order?

Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.

How long does delivery take?

Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.

Will the product look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.

Is the size exactly as listed?

Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.

Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?

Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.

What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?

File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.

Can I cancel my order before it arrives?

Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
