RPG Mat 50x50 cm - Pavement with hexagonal grid - compatible with Dungeons & Dragons
Compatible with
The party just turned off the main road into the back streets, and now every alley and doorway matters - give them a town to actually move through. The Pavement Hex mat prints a cobblestone street under a hex grid, so a city scene is ready before anyone asks "so what does the street look like?"
Key features of the Pavement Hex mat
- Hex grid, not square - built for hex-based movement, so town-scale encounters and chases track directly on the print instead of a blank hex sheet.
- Cobblestone street printed underneath - a paved town-street backdrop under the grid, ready for urban scenes without drawing the setting from scratch.
- Dry-erase surface - PVC with a dry-erase coating, so you mark buildings, alleys, and NPC positions, then wipe it clean for the next scene.
- 50x50 cm play area - sized for a table-top encounter map alongside character sheets, dice, and miniatures.
- Marker and cloth included - ready to draw the first encounter straight out of the packaging.
Where it fits in your sessions
Urban and town encounters - for D&D, Pathfinder, or any system that tracks movement in hexes, the grid is already in place under a paved street setting instead of a blank hex sheet you'd have to theme yourself.
Chases and skirmishes - when a fight or a chase spills out of a tavern and into the street, you mark positions directly on the cobblestone print instead of describing the layout out loud.
Recurring town visits - wipe the mat clean between scenes, so one mat covers a whole campaign's worth of trips back into town instead of a single encounter.
What makes the Pavement Hex mat different
Most cobblestone-themed dry-erase mats use a square grid built for room-by-room combat, and most hex-grid mats are left plain so you draw the setting yourself. The Pavement Hex mat pairs the two - a paved street print with a hex grid underneath - so groups running hex-based town and travel scenes get a themed surface instead of a blank hex sheet.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the square-grid Cobblestone mat?
No - this version uses a hexagonal grid, built for systems that track movement in hexes. If your game uses a square grid instead, the square-format Cobblestone mat matches that ruleset more directly.
What's included with the mat?
The mat ships with a dry-erase marker and a cloth, so you can start drawing on it right away.
Can I fold the mat for storage?
No - dry-erase mats shouldn't be folded, since this can damage the dry-erase coating. Store it rolled instead.
Is 50x50 cm big enough for a town encounter?
It covers a single tactical encounter map well - a street corner or a courtyard - alongside table space for character sheets, dice, and miniatures.
FAQ
How long does it take to make and send my order?
Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.
How long does delivery take?
Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.
Is the size exactly as listed?
Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.
Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.
What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?
File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
