The mud pulls at every boot, black water fills the hollows, and nobody wants to look under that broken stump - a fine spot to send five desperate souls on a mad wizard's errand. Swamp spreads that bog across a 24" x 24" rubber mat (61 x 61 cm): the 2' x 2' table Forbidden Psalm and Relicblade are played on, with room as well for Five Leagues from the Borderlands and for any Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms Delve set out on 2' x 2'. The double-sided version hides grass on its back.

Key features of the Swamp 24" x 24" mat

  • Mud, black water and dead wood - olive-brown mud with wetter, darker hollows, patches of grass and moss and cracked dry ground in places; here and there a small pool ringed with stones, a broken stump or fallen branches among leafy plants.
  • One table size, four games - Forbidden Psalm asks for a 2' x 2' play area, Relicblade's standard battlefield is that same two-foot square, 2' x 2' is a valid table for Five Leagues from the Borderlands, and certain Delves in Call to Arms require no larger table.
  • A dry field underneath - flip the double-sided mat and a green grass field is waiting on the other face; the single-sided mat rests on bare anti-slip rubber instead.
  • Wipe-clean natural rubber - a 2 mm rubber body under a polyester print layer, with laser-cut edges; a damp cloth deals with spilled drinks, and the mat can be rolled or folded for storage.

Where the Swamp 24" x 24" mat fits

Forbidden Psalm warbands - in this skirmish game inspired by Mörk Borg, a warband of five takes on errands for Vriprix the Mad Wizard - solo, co-op or against a rival - and the End Times Edition joins the core book with In the Footsteps of the Mad Wizard into one campaign of 25 scenarios.

Relicblade's drowned servants - the Apostles of the Deep - a shark warrior, an eel sorcerer and gilblin fishers, risen from kingdoms the sea swallowed - finally get dark water to crawl out of.

Wet ground in Five Leagues - marshy or swampy ground stops a character from Dashing, a figure that enters water cannot Dash or make ranged attacks that round, and enemy archers walk around water rather than wade in - so decide before deployment which printed pools count as water.

Hagravens in the bog - Call to Arms Hagravens, part human and part bird, avoid towns and keep to the forsaken corners of Skyrim, so a bog suits the Hagraven Coven set; the Delves laid out on 2' x 2' fit this mat.

What makes the Swamp 24" x 24" mat different

Muddy Ground shows spring puddles and mossy rocks, Treasure Land runs old stone roads through marshland, and Undergrowth is a forest floor under moss; Swamp is a bog with no roads at all, just mud, stagnant pools, broken stumps and fallen branches. This 24" x 24" mat is the smallest in the Swamp range, which goes as large as 72" x 48"; it suits Forbidden Psalm, Relicblade, Call to Arms and Five Leagues from the Borderlands.

Frequently asked questions

Do the printed pools and stumps count as terrain?

Only if your group agrees: they are flat print, so decide before the game whether they count as water or difficult ground, or put 3D terrain on top of them.

Can I play Call to Arms on 2' x 2'?

Only the Delves meant for that size. The rest of Call to Arms is usually played on 3' x 3', and Swamp is made in 36" x 36" for those games.

Do I need the double-sided version?

Only if you want a second battlefield: its reverse is a green grass field. Without it, the mat has a bare anti-slip rubber underside that keeps it from shifting on the table.

FAQ

How long does it take to make and send my order?

Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.

How long does delivery take?

Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.

Will the product look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.

Is the size exactly as listed?

Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.

Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?

Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.

What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?

File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.

Can I cancel my order before it arrives?

Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
