Beyond the last broken walls the snow lies wide and even, with frozen earth showing through in specks and a stone here and there - every step towards the treasure happens in plain sight. Tundra lays that snowfield on a 24" x 24" (61 x 61 cm) rubber mat, sized for Frostgrave and for The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms when a Delve needs only a small table; choose double-sided and you also get a grass battlefield underneath.

Key features of the Tundra 24" x 24" mat

  • An even snowfield - white snow shaded with soft blue-grey, flecked with small patches of frozen brown earth and scattered grey stones - spread evenly across the mat, with no ice sheets or paths to work around.
  • Where 2' x 2' is enough - Osprey calls 3' x 3' the optimum for most Frostgrave games and says 2' x 2' works for a quick one; Call to Arms also uses 3' x 3' for most games, but some Delves fit on 2' x 2'.
  • A green second side - the double-sided version doubles as a green grass battlefield when turned over; the single-sided version stays bare and anti-slip underneath.
  • Made for campaign after campaign - the snowfield is printed on a polyester surface over a natural rubber base, 2 millimetres thick and laser cut at the edges; the mat cleans easily and rolls or folds away between campaign games.

Where the Tundra 24" x 24" mat fits

Frostgrave warbands - a wizard with an apprentice and as many as eight soldiers hunts treasure through the frozen ruins of Felstad until the last piece is taken; Osprey advises covering a large part of the table with terrain, and an even snowfield gives your ruins a quiet base.

Call to Arms in Skyrim - the game is set in Skyrim around 201 years into the Fourth Era, with Imperial Legion and Stormcloak faction starters; most of its games use 3' x 3', and the Delves that need less fit this mat - on snow that suits the setting.

Weeknight-length games - a one-off Frostgrave battle usually takes 1 to 2 hours, and the Tabletop Gaming review gives Call to Arms the same 1 to 2 hours - short enough for an evening at a small table.

What makes the Tundra 24" x 24" mat different

Our three winter battle mats run from hard frost to thaw: Ice mixes the snow with bluish ice that is cracked and broken in places, Early Spring shows mud and grass breaking through, and Tundra sits between them - snow over frozen ground, even across the whole mat, so where the fighting happens is up to the scenery you set out. At 2' x 2' it is the smallest Tundra mat, compatible with both Frostgrave and Call to Arms, and the double-sided mat adds a green battlefield underneath.

Frequently asked questions

Tundra or Ice - how do they differ?

Tundra is an even snowfield that stays quiet under terrain; Ice brings bluish, cracked ice into the print itself. Both prints suit Frostgrave and Call to Arms.

What if my Frostgrave group wants a full-size table?

Osprey names 3' x 3' as the optimum for most games, and Tundra is made in 36" x 36" as well; this 24" x 24" mat covers the quick games that work on 2' x 2'.

One side or two?

Two, if you want summer as well as winter - the back is a green grass battlefield. One, if you would rather have a plain anti-slip back holding the mat in place.

FAQ

How long does it take to make and send my order?

Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.

How long does delivery take?

Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.

Will the product look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.

Is the size exactly as listed?

Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.

Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?

Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.

What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?

File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.

Can I cancel my order before it arrives?

Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
