Wargame Mat 31"x22" / 79x56,4 cm - Hits and Crits - The Glades Temple - rubber mat - Godtear Compatible
Compatible with
Somewhere under the moss there's still a temple floor, and two warbands are about to fight over every hex of it. The Glades Temple puts that overgrown ground on your table: a Hits and Crits rubber mat compatible with Godtear, 31" x 22" (79 x 56.4 cm), outlining every hex in bold dark lines over ivy-covered stone, with the battle ladder along the left edge.
Key features of The Glades Temple mat
- A temple floor the forest took back - deep green moss, ivy and leaves creeping over old flagstones and scattered stone blocks, with lighter clearings in the middle of the field.
- Carved tiles under the green - two rows of carved hexagonal tiles run along the bottom edge, and patches of carved square paving show through the moss near the top.
- Heavy outlines on busy artwork - every hex is drawn in a bold dark line, so the grid stays readable against all that ivy and stone.
- Battle ladder along the left edge - blue cells towards the top end, yellow towards the bottom and neutral ones between, so the score track never needs a spot of its own on the table.
- Grippy 2 mm natural rubber - single-sided polyester print, anti-slip rubber back and a laser-cut edge; it holds still through the game and rolls or folds afterwards.

Where The Glades Temple mat fits
Battles in the Eternal Glade - Steamforged describes the Eternal Glade as lush and verdant, and a moss-covered temple floor gives games set there a table in the same spirit.
Green artwork without losing the grid - if you like a forest look but want hexes you can count at a glance, the heavy outlines keep movement and range clear over the foliage.
Moving off cardboard - instead of the double-sided board from a starter set, this mat puts the battlefield and the ladder on rubber that grips the table and packs away rolled or folded.
What makes The Glades Temple mat different
Two of the four Hits and Crits Godtear designs show ruins under greenery, and they take opposite approaches: Forest of Whispers keeps its hex lines fine and lets a sunlit meadow lead, while The Glades Temple goes darker and outlines every hex in a heavy line. It's also the only design in the series with carved hexagonal tiles in the floor, rows of stone hexes inside the hex grid. Steamforged's own neoprene mat from the 2018 Kickstarter is long sold out, and this one puts the battlefield and the ladder on 2 mm natural rubber.
Frequently asked questions
Is The Glades Temple an official Godtear mat?
No - it's a Hits and Crits design from Playmats.eu, compatible with Godtear but not produced or licensed by Steamforged Games.
Do the carved tiles change how the mat plays?
No - they're printed scenery. The hex layout and the battle ladder are the same as on the other three Hits and Crits Godtear designs.
Is it easy to count hexes on such a busy design?
Yes - every hex has a bold dark outline, the same style as Skullroad Temple, so the grid reads clearly over the moss and stone.
What do I still need from my Godtear set?
Objective hexes, banners, cards and tokens - they go on top of the mat as usual, while the battlefield and the battle ladder are already printed on it.
FAQ
How long does it take to make and send my order?
Products from our regular offer are usually made and handed to the carrier within up to 10 business days of your order. If your order needs more time, we let you know by email. Orders paid by bank transfer go into production once the payment reaches us.
How long does delivery take?
Courier shipments within Europe arrive within 3 to 5 business days of dispatch. Parcel post can take up to 2 weeks within the European Union and more than a month outside it. Every order gets a tracking link, so you can follow the parcel all the way to your table.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping from 200 EUR within the EU and from 400 USD outside the EU. Below these thresholds, delivery costs depend on the destination and parcel weight. The exact price is shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes. Besides Europe, we ship by courier to the United States, Canada and Asia. Courier prices outside Europe depend on the destination and the weight of the parcel and are shown in the cart before you pay.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay online through Stripe or PayPal, which covers credit cards and many popular banking systems, or by bank transfer. Unpaid bank transfer orders are cancelled five business days after they are placed. All prices in the store are gross prices in euro.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. On request we issue a receipt or a VAT invoice for your order. It goes into the parcel or arrives by email as a PDF file, sent to the address you gave when ordering.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not always identical. Phones and monitors show colours in RGB, and each screen renders them a little differently depending on brightness and settings. We print in CMYK with our own calibration and match the print to the design as closely as possible.
Is the size exactly as listed?
Almost. Our materials are cut at high temperatures, so the final dimensions of a mat can differ by up to +/- 5 mm from the listed size. On a gaming table this difference has no effect on play, deployment zones or card layouts.
Can I return this product if it is not right for my table?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by sending us the return form. You cover the cost of sending the product back, and we refund your payment, including the original standard delivery cost. Custom products made to your own design cannot be returned this way.
What if my order arrives damaged or I get the wrong product?
File a complaint with your order number, a short description and photos of the problem. You can choose a refund of the price plus delivery or an exchange for a new or correct product, and we cover the shipping both ways. We respond to every complaint within 14 days.
Can I cancel my order before it arrives?
Yes. You can withdraw from the order at any point until you receive it by sending us a statement, for example the return form. This does not shorten your 14-day right to return the product after delivery.
